Retail Assistant Location: Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary, Ireland A Retail Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of a retail store by providing excellent customer service, operating the checkout, handling transactions accurately, and ensuring the store is well presented, clean, and fully stocked.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner
• Provide accurate product information and assist customers with purchasing decisions
• Operate the checkout and process cash, card, and digital payments accurately
• Handle cash responsibly, including till balancing and end-of-day procedures
• Assist customers with queries, exchanges, returns, and general requests
• Restock shelves and ensure products are correctly priced, labelled, and well displayed
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming shop floor and checkout area
• Support stock control, deliveries, and regular inventory checks
• Assist with promotions, merchandising, and seasonal displays
• Follow company policies and procedures relating to customer service, cash handling, and store operations
• Work effectively as part of a team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the store
