Job Title: Social Care Manager Role Overview This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Care Manager to lead and manage a Children’s Residential Centre. Our client’s ethos is to make a lasting and meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people who require a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment in which to grow and develop. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the effective operation of the Residential Centre, including residential upkeep, financial management, staff leadership, and health and safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Ensure Care Plans and Placement Plans are developed, agreed, implemented, and regularly reviewed for each young person placed in the centre Promote and uphold the rights, responsibilities, and welfare of all young people in line with legislation and best practice Ensure the appropriate and efficient use of resources within the centre Consult and engage with young people, their families, centre staff, and relevant external stakeholders as appropriate Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the centre, including the building, furniture, vehicles, and equipment Engage appropriately with children and young people through age-appropriate activities and daily routines, as required Manage the centre’s budget in compliance with approved financial and organisational procedures, ensuring value for money and optimal use of resources Lead, manage, and supervise staff within the centre, fostering a positive and professional working environment Arrange duty rosters and manage staffing resources, ensuring adequate staffing levels and appropriate skill mix in line with resource allocation Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and organisational policies Participate in and promote ongoing professional development and training Requirements (Optional section if you wish to add later — I can draft this too if needed) Benefits Salary: €65,000 – €70,000 per annum Five weeks’ annual leave Pension scheme Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
