Staff Nurse

Job Description

Maintain professional and ethical standards and set a high standard of resident care · Adhere to NMBI guidelines on the administration of medical preparations and the ‘Misuse of Drugs Act’ · Work as part of a team having regard to the individual team members and an appreciation of their contribution to the team · Maintain excellent working relationships with staff at all levels within Haven Bay · Maintain strict confidentiality of all information acquired during the course of your work at Haven Bay · Deliver Induction training to new nursing and care staff

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each resident has individualised assessments based on their specific needs, and that each resident has a person-centred care plan implemented, evaluated, and modified as their care needs change
• · Ensure all nursing care is individualised and holistic to meet residents’ needs
• · Develop and promote good relationships with residents and their families, communicating effectively with them and ensuring that they are informed of any changes as appropriate
• · Supervise and allocate duties to care assistants

Requirements

• Experience working with the elderly
• Excellent communication skills and fluent English
• Good knowledge of HIQA standards.
• Hold a valid NMBI decision letter
• Hold a valid NMBI PIN
